Pasargad Company, designer, builder, and executor of The Spherical Building (in unique buildings)
Many of us know about the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, marvels of architecture and engineering built with limited tools and primitive techniques. Yet, some of today’s modern structures are no less awe-inspiring, as they showcase technologies and designs ahead of their time.
The Spherical Building, also called the Atomic Building, is inspired by the microscopic structure of atoms and features breathtaking beauty. With expertly designed lighting, it gleams like a diamond at night, becoming a true landmark.

The Spherical Building: A Symbol in the Heart of Belgium
This 120-meter marvel, designed by André Waterkeyn in 1958, has become one of Brussels’ most iconic landmarks with its iron crystal structures. The design was inspired by the atomic structure of iron, magnified 165 billion times. In the 1950s, as Europe explored atomic energy, Waterkeyn created this visionary design.
Construction of the Atomium began in 1958 and was completed in just six months. The structure consists of nine stainless steel spheres connected by 20 tubes. Inside the tubes are staircases, allowing visitors to move between the spherical pods. The entire structure is supported by three sturdy columns, with one central sphere and eight surrounding it. An elevator system provides access to the upper levels.

The spherical building, with its distinct architectural form and advanced lighting, adds unique beauty to urban landscapes.
Pasargad Company seeks to localize such iconic buildings, transforming them into functional spaces for office or commercial use. While the original Atomium in Belgium is purely symbolic, with no practical use, Pasargad has reimagined each spherical room with a functional purpose, increasing its economic viability as a construction model.
Pasargad Company stands at the forefront of the industry, specializing in the design, structural calculations, construction, and implementation of Spherical Buildings. Our approach hinges on engineering expertise and adherence to global standards.
